How are RebelTide pieces made?
Every jewelry piece available in Diana's store is individually crafted by her. She personally collects materials such as sea glass during her explorations and also supports other small businesses similar to hers by sourcing semi-precious gems for various jewelry pieces. Additionally, the clothing in her store is vintage and handpicked by Diana herself, adding to the individuality and charm of her curated collection.
How can you purchase a piece?
If a product is labeled 'available,' it means it's already crafted or collected and ready for shipping. Diana consistently refreshes her shop with new pieces as she travels, collects new material, and creates them. She not only has an online store but also operates a physical storefront out of her van on Abbot Kinney in Venice, CA. Customers can experience Diana's products firsthand with in-person sales and explore the convenience of her mobile setup as she brings the shopping experience to them.
There is limited supply available online, which is another reason for customers to visit and pick a piece that speaks to them.

Sea Glass + Stones
Diana travels in her van, which gives her an opportunity to explore different beaches and source her own materials. She personally handpicks distinct and one-of-a-kind sea glass/stones that are tumbled and shaped by the ocean over decades.
Metals
Diana works with sterling silver because of its remarkable endurance and its capability of lasting a lifetime with proper care.
What is Sterling Silver?
Sterling silver is an alloy which means that it is composed of two or more metals. Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper.
You may ask "why can't you use pure silver?" Pure silver alone is too soft and needs copper for needed strength and durability to be used in the jewelry process.

Jewelry Care
For optimal care, it's advisable to store your jewelry in a dark, dry place, such as a jewelry box, when it's not being worn. This helps in preserving its quality and appearance over time. Pure water alone does not damage your RebelTide jewelry, however, most of the water we're exposed to in our daily lives is not purified. Therefore, Chemicals and contaminants in the water can result in tarnished and dull looking silver or gold. That being said, it is important to avoid any exposure to harsh chemicals like chlorine from pools, cleaning solutions, perfumes, and lotions, as they may lead to tarnishing over time.
It is recommended that when you engage in activities such as swimming in chlorine pools and/or spas, washing dishes and doing work that requires the use of harsh chemicals and detergents that you remove your jewelry beforehand.
All jewelry will lose its shine with age, no matter what it’s made of. If you notice your jewelry becoming dull or tarnished you can use a tarnish remover cloth and gently rub your piece. This will eliminate the tarnish and restore its shine once again!
